This is my 11th year teaching second grade at St. Mark's. I teach math and science to both classes and writing and reading tier to my homeroom.
Prior to coming to St. Mark's I worked for the Blue Valley School District in Overland Park as a special education paraprofessional for four years. Then spent one semester student teaching in Blue Valley and finished out the school year as a substitute.
My husband, Austin, and I have been married for 15 years. I grew up in Garden Plain and we have lived there for the past ten years. We have three children, Wade, Reed and Sloan. Wade is in third grade this year at Garden Plain and loves running, teaching his brother new things and taking care of his baby sister. Reed is in first grade and loves doing anything his big brother does and helping me bake. Sloan is one and loves laughing at her brothers and being outside.
When not at school I spend most of my time with my family. Some of our favorite things to do are play outside and go for walks. I also enjoy reading, exercising and watching movies. As our children get older we are traveling more and so far have been to nine states and a few Royals’ games! We also enjoy taking day trips to fun places around Kansas.
